the Same is an online literary journal with the mission of advancing and celebrating the voices of women and girls. We only accept admissions from women. We publish a yearly print anthology of the best work we receive throughout the year. We nominate for the Pushcart Prize. Please send only unpublished work. We will be donating 12.5% of each entry fee for our writing contests to nonprofit organizations that empower women and girls!
 
We are now accepting submissions of nonfiction, fiction, and poetry for a print anthology. The theme is "Faith," and you are free to interpret this any way you choose.
 
Nonfiction - 1,000 - 4,000 words
Fiction - 1,000 - 6,000 words
Poetry - No line limits
 
We regret that we are unable to pay our contributors. Proceeds from the anthology help keep the journal afloat and allow us to continue accepting most submissions with no reading fees. Contributors will be given a discount on the anthology upon publication.
